MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641063681 A) filed by Nandha Engineering College on May 20, 2026, for Analysis Of Shipping Data In E-Commerce Using Python.

Inventors include Mr. K Loga Sundaram; Mr. S Jambu Surya; and Mrs. S Saradha.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses anAl-based intelligent platform for analysing shipping data and predicting delivery performance in e- cornrnerce systems using machine learning techniques. The platform collects shipment-related data including shipment mode, warehouse block, product cost, customer ratings, and delivery status. Data preprocessing techniques such as missing value handling, duplicate removal, categorical encoding, and feature scaling are performed before analysis. Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and feature selection methods are used to identify important delivery-related patterns. Multiple machine learning algorithms including Random Forest, Decision Tree, Logistic Regression, K.NN, SVM, Naive Bayes, and Gradient Boosting are trained and evaluated for shipment prediction. Among these models, Gradient Boosting achieved the highest accuracy of approximately 0.69. The invention provides intelligent visualization dashboards, predictive analytics, and delivery performance insights that help e-commerce companies reduce delays, improve logistics efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
