Abstract: A method of operating an Unmanned Climbing Pesticide Sprayer Device (100) comprises positioning the Unmanned Climbing Pesticide Sprayer Device (100) in a collapsed state around a target tree trunk corresponding to a radial expansion limit of an Expandable Hinged Frame Chassis (101), actuating a Spring-Biased Gripping Wheel Assembly (103) to generate a self-adjusting radial gripping force without manual adjustment, propelling the Unmanned Climbing Pesticide Sprayer Device (100) upward along the target tree trunk using a Geared DC Traction Drive Motor (105) while the Spring-Biased Gripping Wheel Assembly (103) maintains said gripping force, discharging pesticide from a Pesticide Delivery Subsystem (107) upon reaching the canopy, and reversing a Directional Control Switch (109) to descend along the target tree trunk, completing the climb-spray-descend cycle without the operator physically accessing the canopy.
