The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The invention proposes an ultra-low-power operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) based low-pass filter implemented using 45 nm CMOS technology for biomedical signal processing applications. The proposed design employs dynamic threshold MOS (DT-MOS) transistors operating in the sub-threshold region, combined with a self-cascode architecture and partial positive feedback mechanism to achieve high gain, low noise, and extremely low power consumption at reduced supply voltage. The low-pass filter is optimized for low-frequency biomedical signals such as electrocardiogram (ECG), electroencephalogram (EEG), and electromyography (EMG), effectively suppressing high-frequency noise while preserving vital signal components. The OTA architecture enables tunable transconductance and improved gain-bandwidth performance while maintaining power dissipation in the nanowatt range. The filter design integrates resistive MOS elements and capacitive networks to achieve accurate cutoff frequency control and DC offset cancellation. Simulation results demonstrate stable transient response, enhanced noise performance, and reduced power consumption, making the invention suitable for battery-powered, wearable, and implantable medical devices. The proposed invention provides a scalable and energy-efficient solution for next-generation biomedical analog front-end circuits.
