Abstract: ABSTRACT “AN ORODISPERSIBLE FILM COMPOSITION AND A PROCESS FOR PREPARATION THEREOF” The present invention relates to an orodispersible film composition comprising Sildenafil Citrate and Dapoxetine Hydrochloride for simultaneous treatment of erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation and a process for preparation thereof. The invention provides a rapidly disintegrating oral thin film formulated using Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC), Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA), PEG 400, crospovidone, sweeteners, flavoring agents, citric acid, surfactants, and pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. The film is prepared by solvent casting process involving preparation of polymeric solution, incorporation of active pharmaceutical ingredients, casting, drying, and cutting into dosage strips. The developed film exhibits rapid disintegration, improved folding endurance, enhanced tensile strength, and drug release up to about 96% within 15 minutes. The invention provides improved patient compliance, faster onset of action, ease of administration without water, and enhanced therapeutic effectiveness compared to conventional oral tablet dosage forms.
