Abstract: The present invention relates to an orbital vertical farming pod comprises a rotating pod core (101) configured to generate artificial gravity for plant growth in space through controlled rotational motion. A rotation drive and bearing assembly (102) rotates the pod, while multiple vertical growth racks (103) provide space-efficient hydroponic cultivation. A hydroponic nutrient delivery system (104) circulates nutrient solution in a closed-loop arrangement to supply plant roots without soil. An artificial lighting assembly (105) provides controlled illumination for photosynthesis, and an environmental sensing and control module (106) continuously monitors and regulates temperature, humidity, gas composition, and nutrient conditions. A control and processing unit (107) automatically controls rotation speed, lighting cycles, nutrient supply, and environmental conditions. A life-support interface module (108) transfers carbon dioxide to the pod and oxygen to the habitat. A plant growth mode selection mechanism (109), structural support and mounting assembly (110), and thermal management arrangement (111) enable modular, scalable, sustainable fresh food production and life-support enhancement for longduration space missions.
