Abstract: The present invention relates to an oral hygiene composition and a method for preparation thereof. The composition comprises coconut oil or derivatives including lauric acid, monolaurin, capric acid, or caprylic acid in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, configured for targeted modulation of the oral microbiome. The formulation selectively inhibits pathogenic microorganisms while preserving beneficial commensals, thereby maintaining microbial balance. The composition may be formulated as nanoemulsions, liposomes, or mucoadhesive systems to enhance stability, bioavailability, and biofilm penetration. The method of preparation includes formulation, homogenization, and stabilization steps to obtain a uniform and scalable product. The invention provides a natural, safe, and effective alternative to conventional oral care formulations with improved patient compliance.
