Abstract: An Optimized Waste Plastic–Bitumen Interaction Method for Producing Low-Cost, High-Performance Flexible Pavements Abstract: This invention introduces an innovative and efficient process for combining waste plastic materials with bitumen to create flexible pavements that are durable, economical, and high-performing. The approach enhances the compatibility between treated plastic waste and bitumen by employing controlled thermal blending, surface modification, and even dispersion methods. Distinct from traditional techniques, this process achieves superior molecular-level bonding, leading to increased strength, improved resistance to rutting, water infiltration, and temperature fluctuations. By utilizing readily available local plastic waste, the method not only minimizes environmental pollution but also reduces overall construction expenses. Designed for simplicity and scalability, this technique is applicable for road construction in both urban and rural settings. It supports sustainable infrastructure development by transforming non-biodegradable waste into a valuable resource for pavement materials. Keywords: Cost-effective road construction, Plastic waste recycling, Bitumen modification
