Inventors include Dr. S. Radhakrishnan; Dr. K. Paramasivaganesh; Dr. M. Ilayaraja; Dr. A. Sankar; and Dr. Ramesh Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is an optimized fragment-based method (100) for identifying CDK4 inhibitor candidates that comprises collecting molecular structures of known CDK4 inhibitors, generating molecular fingerprints, and fragmenting the molecular structures using BRICS fragmentation to generate molecular fragments. A focused fragment library is constructed and subjected to molecular docking against a CDK4 binding domain to determine binding orientations and docking scores. Selected fragments are analyzed for hydrogen-bond and hydrophobic interactions within the CDK4 binding domain and evaluated using ADME/T prediction for physicochemical, pharmacokinetic, and toxicity properties. At least one fragment-derived chemical entity is selected as a CDK4 inhibitor candidate based on docking scores, binding interactions, and predicted ADME/T characteristics.
