Abstract: ABSTRACT [0024] This invention presents a performance analysis of band pass filters (BPF) utilizing various Complementary Split Ring Resonator (CSRR) and Split Ring Resonator (SRR) configurations. Four distinct filter designs are proposed, incorporating a CSRR structure on the ground plane and different rectangular SRR structures on the signal line. The designs are initially developed and simulated using the High-Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS). Based on key performance metrics such as bandwidth, insertion loss, and resonant frequency, the optimal structure is identified. The finalized design's equivalent circuit is modeled, analyzed using the ADS tool, and validated through corresponding S-parameters. Among the four structures, Structure-2 demonstrates superior performance, achieving a bandwidth of 2.6269 GHz, an insertion loss of -30.7 dB, and a resonant frequency of 64.52 GHz. The equivalent circuit model is also extracted for the design 2, and also compared the EM and equivalent simulations. A good agreement is achieved in between the both EM and equivalent simulations. The proposed filter is well suited for millimeter-wave applications.
