Abstract: The present disclosure provides an optical intelligent reflecting system (101) comprising a plurality of mirror units (100) arranged in a modular configuration. Each mirror unit includes a mirror element and a dual-axis actuation mechanism coupled to the mirror element. The dual-axis actuation mechanism provides pan motion and tilt motion to enable independent steering of optical beams reflected by the mirror element. The plurality of mirror units (100) is configured to redirect optical signals to establish non-line-of-sight communication paths between optical transmitters and optical receivers.
