Abstract: ABSTRACT AN OFFLINE ROLE-BASED DIGITAL FORENSIC CASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM A system and method for offline digital forensic case management are disclosed. The system operates as a standalone desktop application using a local SQLite database without internet connectivity. A role-based access control engine defines administrator, examiner, and viewer roles with differentiated access privileges. An authentication module employs SHA-256 cryptographic password hashing. A structured case registration interface captures forensic metadata including discipline, evidence type, receipt date, and degradation risk. An automatic deadline calculation engine computes statutory deadlines from a pre-configured discipline-evidence-period reference table. A background deadline monitoring engine classifies cases by residual deadline period and triggers tiered visual and auditory alert notifications. A mathematical risk scoring engine computes a composite urgency score from case aging, evidence perishability, and degradation risk. A case status management module tracks lifecycle transitions from registration through completion. An audit trail logging module records all system actions with user identity and timestamp. A dashboard analytics module presents aggregate case statistics to administrators. A backup and restore module provide database recovery capability.
