MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611101922 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi on August 24, 2026, for An Isolated Apparatus For Dc Voltage Conversion.
Inventors include Dutta, Subhendu; and Saha, Soumyarupa.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an isolated apparatus (100) for DC voltage conversion that converts a low-voltage DC input to a high-voltage DC output through an isolated, coordinated energy storage, switching, and transfer operations. An input energy-storage circuit (102) receives electrical energy from a DC source and stores energy in an inductor while maintaining continuous input current. A quadratic voltage-boosting network (104) controls charging and discharging of capacitors through synchronised switching devices and diodes to produce quadratic voltage boosting. A high-frequency isolation transformer (106) receives energy from the quadratic voltage-boosting network (104), provides galvanic isolation between low-voltage primary and high-voltage secondary sides, and transfers the energy through magnetic coupling. An output energy-transfer circuit (108) maintain a boosted DC output voltage for supplying a connected load or grid-connected power conversion system.
