Abstract: ABSTRACT AN IRRIGATION MONITORING SYSTEM The present disclosure discloses an irrigation monitoring system. The system (100) comprises a frame (102) having a plurality of pockets, wherein each treatment group (10, 20,...N) is defined by a set of removable treatment chambers (10A...10n, 20A...20n,...Nn) configured to receive predetermined soil media and plant specimens. A water reservoir (110) supplies water to a plurality of irrigation conduits (120A...120N) associated with the treatment groups (10, 20,...N). A plurality of moisture sensors (130A...130N) sense moisture levels of the respective treatment groups (10A...10n, 20A...20n,...Nn) and generate corresponding moisture signals. A controller (140) determines moisture values from the moisture signals and compares the moisture values with respective predetermined moisture threshold values to generate control signals. A plurality of actuators (150A...150N) are selectively actuated in response to the control signals to regulate the supply of water from the water reservoir (110) to the corresponding irrigation conduits (120A...120N).
