MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611117577 A) filed by Quantum University; and Qu Innovation Council on September 30, 2026, for An Iot Framework For Solar Water Heating With Ai-Driven Predictive Thermal Energy Storage And Energy Optimization.

Inventors include Dr Satender Kumar; Dr. Raj Kumar; and Jaishree Goyal.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: An Internet of Things (IoT)-based solar water heating system (100) comprising a sensing and data acquisition unit 102 configured to acquire sensor data associated with solar irradiance, collector temperature, storage tank temperature, fluid flow rate, pressure, ambient conditions, and electrical energy consumption; a communication and processing unit 104 transmits the sensor data to edge and cloud processing platforms; a predictive optimization unit 106 configured to process the sensor data, historical hot-water consumption data, occupancy data, and weather forecast data to generate thermal energy harvest and hot-water demand forecasts and determine a control schedule based on the forecasts and a thermal state of a storage tank; and an actuator control unit 108 configured to execute the control schedule by controlling a variable-speed circulation pump, a motorized fluid diverter or mixing valve, and an auxiliary heater, wherein the predictive optimization unit 106 evaluates candidate control schedule using a digital twin before execution.
