Abstract: Boilers play a vital role in industrial processes where controlled temperature and pressure are essential for efficient operation. However, conventional boiler draft fan systems often operate without adaptive control, leading to energy wastage, improper air-fuel mixing, and loss of heat through exhaust gases. To address these challenges, this project proposes an intelligent boiler draft fan system integrated with a heat recovery mechanism to improve overall efficiency and performance. The system is designed to monitor critical boiler parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flue gas conditions using appropriate sensors. These real-time inputs are processed by a control unit, which automatically adjusts the operation of the draft fan to maintain optimal combustion conditions. By regulating the airflow based on demand, the system ensures proper fuel utilization and stable boiler operation. In addition, a heat recovery unit is incorporated to capture waste heat from the exhaust gases. The rewvered heat is reused within the system, such as for preheating feed water or combustion air, thereby reducing fuel consumption and improving thermal efficiency. This approach not only enhances energy utilization but also minimizes environmental impact by lowering emissions. The proposed system offers an effective solution for improving boiler efficiency through automation and energy recovery techniques. It can be applied in various industrial sectors such as power plants, manufacturing units, and process industries. Overall, the project contributes to energy conservation, cost reduction, and sustainable industrial operation.
