Abstract: ABSTRACT AN IOT-BASED SMART VEHICLE IGNITION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ALCOHOL AND DROWSINESS DETECTION The present invention relates to an IoT-based Smart Vehicle Ignition Control System configured to prevent vehicle operation under unsafe driver conditions caused by alcohol consumption and drowsiness. The system comprises an ESP32-Based Central Control Unit (101), an Alcohol Detection Sensor Module (102), a Driver Drowsiness Monitoring Module (103), a Vehicle Ignition Control Relay Unit (104), a GPS and GSM Communication Module (105), and an Alert and Notification System (106). The system continuously monitors driver condition in real time and automatically disables vehicle ignition when alcohol concentration or drowsiness exceeds predefined safety thresholds. Simultaneously, alert notifications and GPS location information are transmitted to registered contacts through GSM communication. The invention provides a proactive, automated, cost-effective, and IoT-enabled vehicle safety solution capable of reducing road accidents associated with drunk and drowsy driving.
