Abstract: The present invention discloses an Internet of Things (IoT) based smart door security system designed to provide secure access management through real-time monitoring and user-controlled decision making. The system integrates a processing unit, presence detection sensor, video acquisition device, alert mechanism, locally hosted web server, and electronically actuated door lock into a unified security framework. When a visitor approaches the entrance, the sensor detects the presence and transmits a signal to the processing unit, which simultaneously activates an audible alert and initiates live video streaming of the entry area. The video feed is displayed through a local web interface accessible on authorized user devices, enabling visual verification of the visitor before any access decision is made. Based on the observed information, the user may manually issue lock or unlock commands that are executed through a relay-controlled locking mechanism. The proposed architecture operates entirely within a local network environment and avoids dependence on cloud platforms, biometric authentication, or automated artificial intelligence driven authorization. This approach enhances privacy, minimizes communication delays, improves operational reliability, and maintains human supervision over entry control. The invention offers a practical, economical, and scalable security solution suitable for residential, institutional, commercial, and controlled-access environments across diverse sectors.
