Abstract: ABSTRACT AN IOT-BASED SMART CROP DISEASE AND PEST DETECTION AND ALERT SYSTEM The present invention relates to an IoT-based smart crop disease and pest detection and alert system configured to monitor crop health in real time using environmental sensors, imaging devices, and intelligent data analysis techniques. The system comprises temperature and humidity sensors, soil moisture sensors, image acquisition modules, microcontroller-based processing units, wireless communication modules, and cloud-based analytical platforms. Crop images and environmental parameters are continuously collected and analyzed using image processing and machine learning techniques to identify crop diseases and pest infestations at an early stage. Upon detection of abnormal conditions, alerts are transmitted to farmers through mobile or web-based applications for timely intervention. The invention minimizes manual crop inspection, reduces pesticide usage, improves crop yield, and supports sustainable agricultural practices through real-time monitoring and automated decision-making.
