Abstract: ABSTRACT The rapid increase in two-wheeler transportation has intensified the need for intelligent rider safety systems capable of identifying unsafe riding conditions in real time. Conventional safety mechanisms primarily focus on passive protection and single-parameter monitoring, resulting in limited reliability during critical situations involving rider impairment or abnormal motion behaviour. The proposed invention presents an intelligent embedded rider safety monitoring system that integrates alcohol detection and motion analysis using the MQ-3 alcohol sensor and MPU6050 inertial measurement sensor. An ESP32 microcontroller serves as the central processing unit for real-time acquisition, processing, and evaluation of sensor data through threshold-based decision logic and multi-sensor fusion techniques. The system continuously monitors alcohol concentration levels and rider motion parameters to classify operational conditions into normal, warning, and critical states. Upon detection of unsafe conditions, the architecture activates local alert mechanisms including a buzzer and LED indicator while simultaneously transmitting emergency notifications through a GSM communication module. The proposed framework enhances detection reliability by reducing false triggering through combined behavioural analysis rather than isolated single-sensor evaluation. Additionally, the modular embedded architecture supports optional IoT connectivity for remote monitoring and future intelligent transportation integration. The developed system provides a compact, low-cost, scalable, and real-time safety solution suitable for next-generation two-wheeler rider protection applications.
