The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT An interlocking modular tissue cassette system (100) for histopathological processing is disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of tissue cassettes (102), each defining a specimen-receiving chamber and configured for independent operation and selective interconnection. Each tissue cassette includes a perforated base (104) and a perforated lid (106) forming a fluid-permeable enclosure that enables uniform flow of processing fluids. A mechanical interlocking arrangement (108) having complementary engagement features enables guided and detachable coupling between adjacent tissue cassettes. A detachable locking element (116) maintains coupling during processing while permitting selective removal of individual tissue cassettes without disturbing remaining interconnected cassettes. Orientation indexing features (118) enforce a predetermined alignment and prevent rotational misalignment, and locking bridges (120) provide structural stability. The system enables modular grouped processing while preserving independent specimen identification and spatial orientation.
