Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an intelligent road damage detection and automated complaint management system for road infrastructure monitoring and maintenance. The system comprises an image input module, image preprocessing module, convolutional neural network (CNN)-based road damage detection module, severity estimation module, GPS-based location tagging module, complaint management module, communication interface, and centralized dashboard. Road images captured through mobile devices, cameras, or monitoring platforms are processed to detect and classify defects including potholes, cracks, waterlogging regions, and open manholes. The system further estimates damage severity, associates the detected defect with geographical coordinates, and automatically generates structured maintenance complaints. Generated complaints are prioritized and routed to responsible authorities through a centralized monitoring platform. The invention reduces manual inspection requirements, improves reporting accuracy, accelerates maintenance response, and enhances road infrastructure management through integrated image analysis, geospatial mapping, automated complaint generation, and real-time monitoring capabilities.
