MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611064321 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology on May 21, 2026, for An Intelligent Power Management Unit For Communication Devices.
Inventors include Purnima Pal; and Pradumn Kumar Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: An intelligent power management unit for communication devices is disclosed. The unit includes an energy sensing section, a source interface, a communication workload interface, a decision controller, a priority manager, policy memory, controllable power converters, and feedback monitoring. The controller evaluates battery condition, source availability, thermal state, rail demand, and communication activity to allocate power adaptively among device subsystems. Priority-based rail control preserves essential communication functions, reduces unnecessary energy consumption, and mitigates voltage sag during high-current transmission events.
