MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611094348 A) filed by Neetu Rani; and Dr. Sudesh Kumari on August 04, 2026, for An Intelligent Multi-Component Red Mud Stabilization System And Method For Enhanced Geotechnical Stability Of Civil Engineering Structures.
Inventors include Neetu Rani; and Dr. Sudesh Kumari.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an intelligent multi-component red mud stabilization system and method for enhancing the geotechnical performance of soils used in civil engineering applications. The invention utilizes industrial red mud as a principal stabilizing material in combination with cement, fly ash, supplementary cementitious materials, optional reinforcing fibers, and compatible engineering additives to produce an optimized stabilized composite. The system includes material characterization, proportion optimization, controlled mixing, moisture conditioning, compaction, curing, laboratory validation, and field implementation modules for achieving improved bearing capacity, compressive strength, shear strength, settlement resistance, permeability control, durability, and environmental compatibility. The invention is suitable for stabilization of weak soils employed in highways, railway embankments, foundations, retaining structures, earth dams, reclamation projects, airport pavements, landfill liners, and other geotechnical infrastructure. The disclosed system enables large-scale utilization of industrial red mud, reduces environmental pollution associated with waste disposal, conserves natural construction materials, lowers project costs, and promotes sustainable infrastructure development while providing superior long-term engineering performance.
