Abstract: Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) is a new wireless communication technology that transfers information through visible light waves, providing a secure and efficient alternative to conventional radio frequency systems. A simple prototype of Li-Fi is designed in this project with the use of a mobile phone torch as a transmitter and a light-dependent resistor (LDR) as a receiver. This information is encoded in morse code and transmitted by the controlled flashing of light . The data is carried by changes in the intensity of the light . The LDR detects these changes and converts them into electrical signals. The Arduino Uno microcontroller reads these signals and decodes the message being sent . The final output is shown on an OLED screen as readable text. The system provides reliable short-range communication with low interference and simple hardware requirements. The main advantage of such an approach is improved security. The signals are forwarded within a small area since the visible light cannot penetrate walls, and the possibility of unauthorized entry is minimized. Also, it is energy-saving, cost-effective, and easy to implement.
