Abstract: The present invention relates to an intelligent soil nutrient monitoring and crop-specific fertilizer advisory system for precision agriculture. The system comprises an ESP32 microcontroller, an RS485-based soil NPK sensor, an RS485-to-TTL converter, an OLED display, and a 3×4 matrix keypad. The soil NPK sensor measures the available nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) concentrations in the soil, and the measured values are acquired by the ESP32 through the RS485 communication interface. The OLED display provides real-time visualization of the measured NPK values and allows a user to select a crop using the keypad. The ESP32 compares the measured NPK values with predefined nutrient requirement values corresponding to the selected crop and determines individual nutrient deficiencies or excesses. Based on the determined deficiency, the system calculates the required quantity of each nutrient and converts the nutrient requirement into an estimated quantity of a corresponding fertilizer based on the nutrient composition of the selected fertilizer. The calculated fertilizer requirement is normalized to a specified field area, such as per acre, and is provided as a crop-specific fertilizer advisory. The advisory and measured soil nutrient information are displayed locally on the OLED display and are additionally transmitted through a Blynk-based IoT platform to provide mobile notifications and remote monitoring. The system thereby provides an integrated mechanism for real-time soil nutrient assessment, crop-specific nutrient deficiency determination, nutrient-to-fertilizer conversion, and fertilizer quantity recommendation, enabling more precise fertilizer application and reducing unnecessary fertilizer usage.
