Inventors include Dr. Santanu Maity; Dr. Sandip Bhattacharya; Dr. Kalyan Sundar Kola; Razia Sultana; and Dr. Ritwik Halder.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is an intelligent beamforming smart antenna system 100 for IoT-connected unmanned vehicles using Artificial Intelligence that comprises an Antenna Unit 102, a Sensor Unit 104, a Navigation Unit 106, a Communication Monitoring Unit 108, a Processing Unit 110, a Beamforming Controller 132, a Communication Interface 134, a Feedback Unit 136, and a Memory Unit 138. The Processing Unit 110 is configured to analyse vehicle, navigation, environmental, and communication parameters, predict at least one of future vehicle movement and communication degradation, and determine an optimum beamforming configuration. The Beamforming Controller 132 dynamically adjusts at least one of phase, amplitude, antenna-element selection, beam direction, beam width, radiation pattern, polarization, frequency, and transmission power of the Antenna Unit 102. The Feedback Unit 136 provides communication-performance information for subsequent optimization, thereby enabling closed-loop adaptive beamforming and reliable wireless communication during dynamic operation of the unmanned vehicle.
