Abstract: The present invention discloses an intelligent autonomous trolley system for industrial logistics that automates indoor material transportation through integrated line tracking and obstacle avoidance. The system comprises infrared line-tracking sensors, an ultrasonic obstacle detection sensor, a microcontroller, a motor driver circuit, DC motors, a rechargeable battery, and a trolley chassis. The infrared sensors continuously detect a predefined navigation path, while the ultrasonic sensor identifies obstacles ahead. The microcontroller processes sensor inputs in real time and controls the motor driver to regulate the speed and direction of the DC motors, enabling autonomous forward movement, left and right turns, and safe stopping. The invention minimizes human intervention, reduces material handling time, improves transportation accuracy, and enhances workplace safety through reliable collision prevention. Its modular architecture allows economical implementation and simplifies installation, maintenance, and future upgrades. The system further supports integration with RFID, wireless communication, Internet of Things connectivity, artificial intelligence, machine vision, and cloud-based monitoring for advanced logistics management. The proposed invention is suitable for deployment in manufacturing industries, warehouses, hospitals, laboratories, airports, educational institutions, and distribution centers. Accordingly, the intelligent autonomous trolley system provides a scalable, energy-efficient, cost-effective, and dependable solution for automated material handling, thereby improving operational productivity, logistics efficiency, and safe transportation within diverse indoor environments. The invention additionally offers reliable navigation under predefined operating conditions, reduced maintenance requirements, flexible customization, enhanced scalability and compatibility with future automation initiatives.
