MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641113040 A) filed by Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao Vignana Jyothi Institute Of Engineering And Technology on September 21, 2026, for An Intelligent Artificial Intelligence-Based System And Method For Automated Breast Cancer Detection Using Deep Learning-Based Mammographic Image Processing And Diagnostic Analysis.
Inventor includes Ms. Jyotsnarani Tripathy.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT [0014] The innovation offers an advanced detection system that enhances the accuracy of breast-cancer screening from mammographic images. Drawing upon extensive datasets of high-resolution mammograms supplied by the Radiological Society of North America, the system applies convolutional neural networks and related machine-learning techniques to identify malignant findings with greater precision than traditional visual inspection. Preprocessing and algorithmic refinements address the well-known limitations of high false-positive and false-negative rates. Performance is quantified by sensitivity with specificity, and there after area-under- the-ROC-curve metrics. The resulting pipeline is designed for clinical integration through user-friendly interfaces while adhering to data-security standards and ethical principles of fairness and transparency, ultimately supporting improved patient outcomes through earlier and more reliable detection.
