The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The invention discloses an integrated method and bio-based formulations for converting post-ritual sacred floral bio-waste (Nirmalya) into herbal insect-control, aromatic and pigmentary products. Segregated floral material is subjected to controlled dehydration, milling and screening to obtain a standardized floral matrix having controlled moisture and particle-size characteristics. A first portion of the matrix is blended with botanical active material comprising neem-derived material, pyrethrum-derived material and optionally amla-derived material together with a natural gum or plant-derived binder, and is formed into repellent chalk, dhoop, cone or incense articles. Fragrance-bearing floral fractions are subjected to plant-compatible aromatic recovery, while colour-bearing fractions are low-temperature dried and micronized or extracted and deposited on a plant-derived carrier to form natural Gulal or Rangoli powders. Compatible spent solids and coarse organic fractions are reprocessed into suitable product streams, thereby establishing a cascading, substantially zero-waste floral bio-waste valorisation framework that reduces disposal into water bodies and landfills while generating multiple renewable consumer-product matrices.
