Abstract: AN INTEGRATED SUNKEN SEED METERING AND FURROW-DELIVERY ASSEMBLY ADAPTABLE TO CHECK-ROW PLANTERS AND ROW PLANTERS The present disclosure relates to an integrated sunken seed metering and furrow-delivery assembly for precision sowing of seeds during check-row planting and row planting operations. The assembly comprises a seed metering plate (1) mounted on a common seed metering shaft (6), a secondary seed box (7), a seed flow regulatory strip (8), and a furrow opening assembly comprising a furrow opening share (13), a protective furrow shank (14), and a furrow shaft (15). The seed metering plate (1) is positioned partially within the secondary seed box (7) and partially within the furrow opening assembly to form a sunken seed metering configuration for direct projection-based seed discharge substantially without the use of an intermediate seed delivery tube. The seed metering plate (1) comprises a plurality of seed metering cups (4), whereas the secondary seed box (7) further comprises a configured face portion (9) and a one-way valve arrangement associated with a lower opening (7b) for facilitating regulated seed flow during rotational operation. The assembly enables synchronized check-row planting and row planting operations with reduced lag time and improved placement consistency through direct low-height seed discharge within a furrow.
