Abstract: ABSTRACT A hybrid renewable energy system integrating Photovoltaics (PV), Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES), and salinity-gradient-based blue energy is disclosed. The system is configured to generate, store, and supply electrical power through coordinated operation of solar photovoltaic modules, compressed air energy storage units, and blue energy conversion modules utilizing salinity differences between freshwater and seawater. Excess electrical energy generated by the PV subsystem is utilized to operate air compressors for storing compressed air in storage reservoirs. During low solar generation periods or peak demand conditions, the stored compressed air is expanded through air turbines coupled to electrical generators for power production. The blue energy subsystem continuously generates electrical energy using salinity-gradient conversion techniques including reverse electrodialysis, pressure retarded osmosis, or electrochemical conversion processes. An intelligent energy management controller regulates power flow, storage operation, and load distribution to ensure reliable and uninterrupted energy supply. The disclosed hybrid system improves renewable energy utilization, grid stability, storage efficiency, and operational reliability while reducing dependence on fossil-fuel-based energy sources. The invention is particularly suitable for coastal and estuarine regions and provides a sustainable, scalable, and environmentally friendly energy solution for distributed generation and microgrid applications.
