MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641089562 A) filed by Christ University on July 23, 2026, for An Integrated Phase-Based System For Construction Waste Minimisation And Performance Benchmarking.
Inventors include Ron V Roy; and Beulah M.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: AN INTEGRATED PHASE-BASED SYSTEM FOR CONSTRUCTION WASTE MINIMISATION AND PERFORMANCE BENCHMARIUNG ABSTRACT The invention provides a method for reducing construction material waste using a phase-based monitoring and control system. The process involves the generation of project waste values, which are compared with the observed waste during the construction execution. The deviation is identified, and corrective intervention is made in real time when the deviation exceeds the specified limits before moving to the next phase. The method further enables evaluation of waste reduction and cost efficiency using performance indicators derived from material usage data and facilitates comparison across projects through normalisation based on gross floor area.
