MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631096588 A) filed by Peetam Mandal; and Alolika Sarkar on August 10, 2026, for An Integrated Matrix-Adapted Process For Multiclass Pesticide-Residue Determination In Liquid Biostimulant Compositions.
Inventors include Peetam Mandal; and Alolika Sarkar.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: An integrated process (100) for determining multiple pesticide residues in liquid biostimulant compositions is disclosed. A homogenised sample (10) is hydrated with purified water (20), extracted with acetonitrile (30), ultrasonically treated and partitioned using anhydrous magnesium sulphate and sodium chloride (40) under cooled agitation. An acetonitrile-rich supernatant (60) is subjected to dispersive cleanup using anhydrous magnesium sulphate, primary-secondary amine, Florisil, C18 and graphitized carbon black sorbents (70). Following mixing and centrifugation, a cleaned extract (80) is analysed by gas chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (90) in selected- or multiple-reaction-monitoring mode. Aliquots of the common cleaned extract are analysable under different acquisition programmes without repeating extraction or cleanup. The process is applicable to quality-control and residue monitoring of liquid biostimulants containing amino-acid, peptide or protein-hydrolysate constituents. Accompanying drawing: FIG. 1.
