Abstract: An integrated IoT and AI-based multimodal rider monitoring and autonomous speed control system [20] for two-wheelers comprises a slave microcontroller [21], a master micro-processor [22], and a battery management unit [36]. The slave microcontroller [21] is coupled to an electro-mechanical braking module [28] and sensors, including a wheel speed sensor [23], IMU [24], throttle [25], brake pressure [26], proximity [27], GPS [29], and real-time clock [30]. The master micro-processor [22] is coupled to a camera module [32] and HMI peripherals [31, 33, 34]. Acquired telemetry and visual data are consolidated by the master micro-processor [22] and transmitted via Wi-Fi to a cloud server [50]. The cloud server [50] pre-processes the data and runs a multimodal machine learning model [70] to predict overspeeding and risk levels. Based on predictions, the system transmits control commands back to the slave microcontroller [21] to autonomously actuate the electro-mechanical braking module [28] and restrict throttle response.
