MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641077212 A) filed by Anu Abraham Mathew; and Dr. K. Madheswari on June 22, 2026, for An Integrated Digital Twin–virtual Reality Adaptive Learning System With Learner Digital Twin And Closed-Loop Ai For Engineering Education.
Inventors include Anu Abraham Mathew; and Dr. K. Madheswari.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an integrated Digital Twin–Virtual Reality adaptive learning system employing a Learner Digital Twin and a closed-loop artificial intelligence engine for personalized engineering education. The system comprises a physical robot, a Robot Digital Twin, a Virtual Reality environment, a Learner Digital Twin, and an adaptive AI engine. The Robot Digital Twin synchronizes with the physical robot through bidirectional communication, while the Learner Digital Twin continuously models learner knowledge, cognitive workload, behavioral characteristics, and performance metrics. Workload information is acquired within the immersive VR environment and incorporated into the learner model. The AI engine analyzes learner state information and dynamically adjusts task difficulty, instructional content, and pedagogical interventions. A closed-loop feedback mechanism continuously updates learning experiences based on learner interactions and outcomes. The invention improves personalization, engagement, skill acquisition, and educational effectiveness in engineering and technical training environments. The system is applicable to higher education, vocational training, industrial learning platforms, remote laboratories, and simulation-based educational systems. FIG.1
