Abstract: An Integrated Computer-Implemented System and Method for Geo-Referenced Eco-Affective Annotation of Literary Corpora and Low-Bandwidth Multilingual Delivery of a Digital Literary Archive A computer-implemented system (100) ingests digitised page images, recognises text per page region with a confidence value, and selects a language-specific named-entity model to extract place mentions. A toponym-resolution module (108) resolves each mention against a gazetteer (120) using string similarity, prominence, and spatial coherence within a context window, emitting coordinates and a confidence value. A feature-extraction module (110) computes an environmental-lexicon density and an affective-valence value over the same window, and binds these, the coordinates, and the page-image region into a single composite annotation record. A datastore (112) maintains spatial, text and feature indexes over these records, so combined queries are satisfied by index intersection. A delivery module (114) selects an image-pyramid tier based on measured bandwidth, and a synchronisation layer (116) reconciles offline replicas using version-vector deltas over conflict-free replicated data types.
