Abstract: ABSTRACT An integrated brake lever-sensor system (100) for a vehicle includes a brake lever (105) having a lug, a plunger directly and rigidly mechanically coupled to the lug, and a sensor (110) configured to detect displacement of the plunger. The plunger is coupled to the lug without any elastic or deformable intermediate element such that displacement of the brake lever (105) produces corresponding linear displacement of the plunger. The sensor (110) is operatively connected to a switch printed circuit board configured to transmit signals indicative of brake lever position to a vehicle control unit.
