Abstract: The present invention discloses an integrated agricultural monitoring apparatus and method for precision cardamom cultivation, comprising a hardware unit and a cloud/software unit operatively coupled to one another. The hardware unit receives a soil sample, mixes it with an extraction liquid, and filters the resulting mixture to obtain a soil extract. A multi-parameter soil sensor acquires nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and pH values, while boron concentration is separately estimated through an automated colourimetric reaction employing an Azomethine-H reagent, the resulting colour response being optically measured and converted into a boron value using a calibration relationship. An embedded controller coordinates the sample processing, sensing and reagent-dispensing operations, displays the results locally, and transmits the processed data to a remote computing platform. Independently, an image of a cardamom leaf is captured and processed using a machine-learning-based classification model to determine a plant-health condition. The soil information and plant-health classification are combined by the remote computing platform to generate agricultural recommendations and alerts, including fertilizer guidance and disease-prevention measures. The invention thereby provides a portable, field- deployable and comparatively economical platform that integrates soil nutrient and boron analysis with plant-disease detection for precision agricultural decision support in cardamom and other plantation crops.
