The arrangement includes an operating mechanism (100) with an input rotor (101) and a direct handle assembly (10) mounted on the input rotor (101). The direct handle assembly (10) features a direct handle (11), position view window (19), and padlock lever (12). An operating shaft assembly (50) with an adjustable operating shaft (51) can be inserted into the direct handle assembly (10) for remote operation. The padlock lever (12) facilitates padlocking in the OFF state, ensuring safety. The invention allows for on-site convertibility between direct and remote operation, providing versatility and reducing the need for multiple factory-fitted solutions. The adjustable operating shaft (51) and integrated safety features enhance the overall utility and reliability of the switchgear.
