Abstract: An innovative pharmaceutical syringe safety mechanism is disclosed for reducing accidental needle exposure after administration of injectable pharmaceutical compositions. The mechanism includes a syringe barrel, plunger assembly, stopper, needle hub, hollow needle, movable safety sleeve, trigger collar, guide track, and locking interface. The trigger collar cooperates with terminal plunger travel to advance the safety sleeve over the needle. The locking interface maintains the sleeve in a protected state. The arrangement supports dose visibility, familiar handling, controlled activation, and safer disposal.
