Abstract: The rapid advancements in quantum computing present significant challenges to traditional cryptographic systems, driving the need for quantum-resistant solutions. This project introduces an Innovative Dual-Layer RSA Encryption Model enhanced with Merkle Trees to ensure quantum resistance and data integrity protection. By integrating classical RSA encryption with lattice-based post- quantum cryptography, the model provides robust security against both classical and quantum attacks. The dual-layer encryption model combines RSA’s proven capabilities with quantum-resistant algorithms, addressing vulnerabilities posed by quantum computing. Merkle trees are employed to organize quantum-secure hashes of encrypted data blocks into a hierarchical structure, with the Merkle root serving as an immutable reference point for tamper detection. This enables efficient and scalable verification without requiring full decryption, making it suitable for large-scale systems. Key features of the proposed system include hybrid key management for enhanced security, Merkle proof-based data verification, and backward compatibility with existing RSA-based frameworks. By addressing the shortcomings of current cryptographic techniques, which are vulnerable to quantum computing algorithms like Shor’s and Grover’s, this model ensures a balance between current needs and future-proofing. This innovative framework offers quantum resistance, efficient data integrity mechanisms, scalability for large applications, and seamless integration with existing systems. Potential applications include secure data storage, financial transactions, IoT ecosystems, and secure communications, ensuring data confidentiality, authenticity, and integrity across industries. By combining classical encryption techniques, post-quantum algorithms, and Merkle tree-based verification, the model delivers a robust, scalable, and future-ready solution. It establishes a foundation for resilient systems capable of protecting sensitive data against evolving cyber threats in the quantum era.
