Abstract: ABSTRACT “AN IMMUNOCHROMATOGRAPHIC POINT-OF-CARE KIT FOR DETECTING CORONIN 1C SERUM BIOMARKER FOR PANCREATIC DUCTAL ADENOCARCINOMA” The present invention relates to an immunochromatographic point-of-care kit for detecting Coronin 1C serum biomarker associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The kit comprises a sample application pad, a conjugate pad comprising labelled anti-human Coronin 1C detector antibody, a nitrocellulose membrane comprising immobilized anti-Coronin 1C capture antibody defining a test line and a procedural control line, an absorbent pad, and a backing support. Coronin 1C present in a human serum sample forms an antigen-antibody immunocomplex with the labelled detector antibody and is subsequently captured at the test line to generate a visually detectable signal. The invention further provides a process for preparing the immunochromatographic kit and an in-vitro method for detecting Coronin 1C using the kit. The platform enables rapid, minimally invasive, qualitative or semi-quantitative detection of circulating Coronin 1C at the point of care.
