MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611042830 A) filed by Thapar Institute Of Engineering And Technology on April 03, 2026, for An Image Encryption Security System And Method Thereof.
Inventors include Khushpreet Singh; and Gaganpreet Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides an image encryption security protocol comprising SRAM-physically unclonable functions (PUF) for generating unique device-specific keys for each session, an Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH) protocol for establishing an exchange through a shared session, and a Lorenz chaotic system for creating highly unpredictable sequences. The original image is transformed into noise-like data and transmitted securely, while the decryption process restores the image without loss in quality and SRAM startup values exhibit a mixture of stable bits, providing device-specific identity, and randomly changing bits, providing session-specific variability, ensuring that the resulting private key is both unique to the device and fresh for each session. This multi-layered approach guarantees confidentiality, resistance to attacks, and robust secure communication of images.
