Inventor includes Dr Anand Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT “AN ILLUMINATED DEEP HIP RETRACTOR SYSTEM” The present invention relates to an illuminated deep hip retractor system (100) for circumferential acetabular exposure during total hip arthroplasty procedures. The system (100) comprises a substantially U-shaped frame assembly (102) including anterior, posterior, and superior frame sections (102A, 102B, 102C). The system (100) further comprises corresponding adjustable bars (104, 105, 107) having serrated locking regions, and corresponding anterior, posterior and superior retractor blades (106, 108, 110) configured for tissue retraction and acetabular exposure. A plurality of anti-slip spikes resists blade displacement during tissue retraction. The system (100) further comprises first and second illumination units (116, 118) including flexible positioning arms and LED light heads. The invention provides improved surgical visibility, stable self-retaining tissue retraction, and enhanced acetabular access during hip arthroplasty procedures. Refer: Fig.1
