Abstract: An eye drop formulation with mucoadhesive properties is disclosed for topical ocular administration. The composition is configured to form reproducible drops, spread over the ocular surface, interact transiently with the mucin layer, and prolong local residence without forming an uncomfortable rigid gel. The formulation supports improved ocular contact, drug availability, stability, and patient-compliant administration.
