MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641081748 A) filed by Sr University on July 02, 2026, for An Explainable Artificial Intelligence Based Transparent And Clinically Interpretable Disease Prediction System.

Inventors include Padmavathi. B; and Dr. Raveendrababu Vempati.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is an explainable artificial intelligence based transparent and clinically interpretable disease prediction system (100), the system (100) comprises a clinical data acquisition module (102) configured to receive heterogeneous clinical data. A data preprocessing module (104) performs missing value handling, normalization, encoding, balancing, and data cleaning, while a feature engineering and selection module (106) extracts and ranks clinically relevant features. A disease prediction module (108) employs machine learning models. An explainable AI module (110) integrates SHAP and LIME through local explanation generation module (112) and global explanation analysis module (114). An explanation consistency analysis module (116) evaluates agreement between SHAP and LIME outputs, while a clinical validation module (118) verifies medical relevance. A clinician trust scoring module (120), reporting and visualization module (122), and clinical decision support module (124) provide trustworthy, interpretable predictions, visual analytics, and deployment across local, cloud, or hybrid healthcare environments.
