Abstract: AN EXPLAINABLE AND CLINICALLY TRUSTWORTHY DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATED DERMATOLOGICAL DISEASE DIAGNOSIS The present invention discloses an explainable and clinically trustworthy decision support system for automated dermatological disease diagnosis. The system employs deep learning models to analyze dermatological images and identify skin diseases with high accuracy. To enhance transparency and clinical acceptance, the invention integrates explainable artificial intelligence mechanisms that generate visual and feature-based explanations for diagnostic predictions. A trustworthiness assessment module evaluates reliability and confidence of results, enabling clinicians to validate and understand diagnostic outcomes. The framework combines medical image analysis, automated disease classification, and interpretable decision- making to support accurate and efficient diagnosis.
