Abstract: Wireless communication technologies such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are widely used in modern networking environments, making them critical components of daily digital interaction. However, the open nature of wireless communication exposes networks to misconfigurations, unauthorized monitoring, and potential security risks. Traditional wireless security analysis tools are often expensive, bulky, and complex, limiting their accessibility for students and academic researchers. To address this limitation, the proposed project presents the design and implementation of a low-cost, portable wireless security analysis device using the ESP32 microcontroller. The system utilizes the built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities of the ESP32 to perform real-time scanning and monitoring of nearby wireless networks and devices. It enables the observation of essential parameters such as network identifiers, signal strength, channel information, security type, and the presence of Bluetooth devices. User interaction is achieved through a serial interface, allowing controlled execution of scanning operations. The proposed solution is compact, energy-efficient, and easy to deploy, making it suitable for educational, research, and authorized testing environments. By eliminating the dependency on costly software-defined radios and professional penetration testing tools, the system provides an accessible platform for understanding wireless network behaviour. This project contributes to cybersecurity education by offering a practical and ethical approach to wireless security analysis.
