Abstract: An ergonomic load bearing lounge chair with laminated composite shell and interlocking structural assembly described herein. The chair (1) comprises a continuous curved seating structure (10) forming a backrest portion (101), a seat portion (102), and a leg support portion (103) adapted to support a reclining posture of a user. The laminated composite shell (20) includes a plurality of wood or bamboo veneer layers bonded together, and at least one reinforcement layer (30) of natural fibers positioned at predetermined stress regions. A base support structure (40) comprising curved support members provides ground contact and stability. The laminated composite shell (20) acts as a primary load bearing element to distribute user weight along a continuous load path. The interlocking structural assembly (50), including mortise and tenon joints, interlocking slot joints, and wooden dowels, connects structural components without metal fasteners. Ergonomic support is achieved through structural geometry.
