Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for manufacturing an engineered nonwoven composite material (100) comprising; opening and feeding a plurality of fibres (210) for supplying fibres to a fibre processing sequence, blending the plurality of fibres (210) for establishing a fibre blend, preparing the fibre blend for establishing a fibre arrangement, forming a first fibre layer (202) and a second fibre layer (204) from the fibre blend, positioning the second fibre layer (204) adjacent to the first fibre layer (202) for establishing a layered structure, generating a bonding material (206) in a foam form and applying the bonding material (206) in the foam form, controlling a density of the bonding material (206) in the foam form during application, drying the layered structure after application of the bonding material (206) for consolidating the bonding material (206) within the layered structure, winding the composite material for collecting the continuous material.
